Sales jobs: Councils need to support construction industry
By investing in construction work councils across the country will help provide better housing in their area and create more sales jobs, according to a leading pressure group.
The comments come from the left-wing organisation Compass after the Audit Commission said that councils' initial response to the recession has been positive but added that authorities need to invest in areas like construction if the progress is to continue.
Gavin Hayes, general secretary of Compass, said: "Councils can do that because that will also provide jobs in the construction industry which has been particularly hard hit by the economic downturn."
He added that investing in better housing will also provide sales jobs in the construction industry, which has been hit by the economic downturn.
In other news, construction sales jobs will be bolstered by funds that have been made available by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which runs the £1 billion Kickstart Programme in the south-west.
The Aaron Wallis Construction and M&E sales team offers a wide range of construction sales jobs across the sector, including specification sales jobs. For employers Aaron Wallis offer a construction sales recruitment service that includes psychometric profiling and skills testing and is backed by a 12 month rebate scheme.
